Ómarsson graduated from the arts and design department of the technical college of Hafnarfjörður and went on from there to The Icelandic Academy of the Arts where he graduated with a B. A. degree in product design.

In 2005 He co founded the multidisciplinary design company FRONT together with the talented graphic designer Ragnar Freyr Pálsson.

Summer of 2006 Ómarsson he joined StudioBility an award winning design studio.
